Witch Hat Crank-In and Zoom Class Details
I want to thank Anita Manne for her crank-in inspiration and for facilitating the Zoom. October 3-5 My home holds 8-9 crankers. Short notice means fewer people will be attending. Anyone... Let me know if you're planning on it.
I live on Allen st. in the Arroyo Grande Village near Pismo Beach California. A Google search will show you close hotels and camping. If you don't mind street camping, you can park at my house. There are some nice Air B&B's in my neighborhood. Your family will have plenty to do at the beach and around town if they tag along.
This is a supplement to my Creating Crowns book. Owning the book and knitting the hat is your Zoom participation ticket. Have it ready, we will be referencing it. If you join, but don't have the book, please sit silently in the back of the zoom class. This class will not result in you owning a pattern, some book information may be missing). If you want to come, but don't own the book, I have some here for discount; but if you're new to CSM's you may feel lost in the class. Bring Christmas yarn for a (brim) wreath.
The side is an easy 243 row tube and should be completed before the crank-in. Follow the instructions on page 48.
Friday meet-and-greet, the process and goals.
(Evening Zoom). Setting up for the brim. (If you arrive early, you can start knitting.) Saturday knits the brim, a casual 3 hour knit, and the cone a 45 minute knit. Set up to sew. All day zoom with set times for classes? (Input appreciated.) Sunday mid-morning Zoom. Sets us up to finish and sew. Wire tutorial. Felted and decoration ideas.
Exact California Zoom times to be announced. This is a free class, if you come, you only need to chip in for food. Gifts of yarn are never refused.
Menus If you arrive early, we will make sandwiches. Friday Dinner: Thi or taco takeout
Saturday: Breakfast on you, (I will have some fruit, coffee, etc.) Lunch, late morning early afternoon charcuterie. Dinner, Homemade Lasagna, salad, ice cream.
Sunday: probably a repeat of Saturday. Leftovers, homemade sourdough sammies, and other goodies.
Feel free to stay for dinner; we will figure it out then.
If you have food needs, let me know. Our Lasagna is vegetarian.
My husband and our chef, Curtis has a frustrating perfume allergy; please refrain from smelling nice. Zoom attendees exempt. 😊
