How did you learn about CSMs? I’ve always been CSM curious, and I jumped when a friend offered a half-ownership in a LeGare 400.

How did you learn to use a CSM? Repetition, YouTube, FaceBook friends. But mostly practice, practice, practice.

Ribber preference: I don’t rib, yet.

What do you like most about this pastime? Making things, utilitarian things, but beautiful.

Favorite item to make? socks!

What is your favorite sock yarn? Indie dyed Merino-Cashmere-Nylon

Advice? Work with beautiful yarn only, and slow down

Do you know how to knit with sticks? Yes

Have you attended a local or regional crank-in? No

Pet peeves/Turn ons? Why, why must you drop a stitch and run down ten rounds right when I’m so chuffed that I completed a perfect heel?

Tell us more…

I have been knitting (with sticks) since I was 11—54 years of knitting! It’s a real pleasure to learn new skills and explore a whole new realm. CSM is at the intersection of mechanics, design, skill, and craft—and that’s an exciting place to be.

I am hoping to attend classes and meet people IRL when the pandemic permits, and until then I’ll be cranking away in my craft room.
