What else should we know about you?

I never knew that something like a Circular Sock Knitter existed, it was a real discovery. I grew up in Germany and the closest thing to a CSM I knew was a so called ‘Strickliesel’, a wooden tube, painted as a doll, with nails on the top that’s used to knit i-cord, the modern ones are made of plastic and shaped like a mushroom, hence ‘Strickpilz’. My mom was a machine knitter in her youth in Italy, and she too had never heard of a CSM.

Since I’m still new to the trade I don’t have big aspirations, but I can tell that I’m hooked and I’m ready to learn as much as I can about knitting in rounds on a machine with a crank.

I now live in Florida with my husband and my two kitties and I would like to find or found a local community of sock knitters, although socks are not the most used garment in these parts.
