How did you learn about CSMs? I bought a book on eBay about machine knitting but it was a book about sock machines. Became fascinated by them and finally bought one. That book was lost in a move. Wish I had it now.
How did you learn to use a CSM? Video, mostly
Ribber preference: Equal
What do you like most about this pastime? It is fast and satisfying. You can make it as simple our complicated as you like and it is still satisfying.
Favorite item to make? Socks
What is your favorite sock yarn? No brand in particular.
Advice? Follow a video, one step at a time. You will never remember it all.

Going to a crank-in is more about observing and learning. You might think you will make lots of sock but most likely will not complete a pair. Hahaha
